The Closet CAPTCHA
A puzzle hunt framed as a turing test, formatted as a video game.

If you dislike the corporatization of art, this game is for you.
The Closet CAPTCHA is a philosophical ARG-inspired multimedia point-and-click.
It is designed to be impossible for AI to solve. The puzzles challenge your ability to make connections and explore possibilities.
Solving with other humans is recommended. You will need a search engine (Google, Bing, etc).
Accessibility
Here are the current features and requirements for beating the game on your own:
The game is only available in English.
Vision sufficient to drive is recommended. Players with exceptionally rare forms of colorblindness (e.g., monochromacy) may be disadvantaged.
Hearing is necessary.
In addition, players who are truly tone deaf will have a problem with some parts of this game: If you can recognize a popular melody without iconic timbral or rhythmic cues, you will be fine.
Captions are available in one the case where strong pitch perception or spectral analysis would otherwise be required.
This game is not expected to create an issue for photosensitive players. If I have incorrectly assessed this, please let me know.
Some auditory features may be overstimulating.
What's in the puzzles?
Clues mainly span things that are familiar to Generations X through Z. This affects your probability of already knowing something, but you aren't expected to.
You will have to do some math. Research is required again here to fill the gaps of your knowledge. But there is an underlying emphasis on singular logical "ah-has" rather than long drawn out equations.
Word-based puzzles are fairly minimal, with most things being about creative thinking amid ambiguity.
Certain computer skills will make it easier to beat the game. One quality-of-life feature is currently in development that will reduce this factor.
Content
The game is mild, but here's everything worth mentioning:
Claustrophobia
A "PG-13" f'
An instance of mildly sexual narrative
An instance of non-descriptive violence
References to more mature or potentially offensive works (directly engaging with these works is not necessary to solving the puzzles)
Copyright
Beyond gameplay footage and fair use, do not repurpose any assets without first verifying that you have permission. Don't present others' work as your own.
Future Development
This game is continuing to be polished, so check back for bug fixes and updates.
A Steam version is on its way very soon.
